Ith Sam Heng, Minister of Labor and Vocational Training, said on Tuesday that from January 1 to March 20, 2018, there are 11,467 female workers giving birth to 11,539 children.
Prime Minister Hun Sen has decided to grant financial aid to female workers in garment and footwear industry when they give birth to help improve their livelihoods.
The financing policy started on January 1, 2018, with a payment of $100 for workers giving birth to one child, $200 for twin and $300 for a triplet.
