Phnom Penh (FN), March 5 – Tea Banh, Minister of National Defense, said that the calls to the international community to impose economic sanctions against Cambodia made by illegal politicians, referring to the former Cambodia National Rescue Party leaders, is the acts of destroying national interests and people.

“They [opposition leaders] never care about the well beings of people and the country, but sanction the living standard of people that is progressing,” said Tea Banh at the celebration of upcoming 107th Women’s Right Day on Monday, held at National University of Defense, Phnom Penh.

Tea Banh, on the other hand, called on people to contribute to maintaining peace, stability, and order, to strengthen Cambodia sustainable development.

He also reminded all ministries and institutions to cooperate in solving the problems that have arisen with high accountability in order to ensure the country's harmony.
