Phnom Penh (FN), March 5 – Prime Minister Hun Sen announced not to hold any dialogues nor negotiations with former opposition leader Sam Rainsy in Australia, speaking at a ceremony in Chhoukva Pagoda located in Phnom Penh’s Prek Pnov district on Monday.
“I will attend the special summit in Australia, not negotiate with a former opposition party who are banned from political activities,” said the premier.
Prime Minister added that throughout his life, he favors negotiations rather than wars. However, he told former opposition leaders not to expect a second Paris Peace Accord.
He told any foreigners who wished to intervene to examine the root causes of all these cases – the aim to overthrow the Royal Government, urge the army to rebel against the government, and call on Cambodian abroad to protest and demonstrate.
The premier rejected any foreigners’ proposals to facilitate negotiations between himself and the opposition leaders.
He informed today that some opposition leaders sent him letters to request for a favor to regain their political rights.
