Phnom Penh (FN), March 2 - The construction of "Golden Tower 42", known as the tallest building in Cambodia on Monivong Blvd., will resume its construction soon after it had been halted since 2008, according to the firm's owner.
The confirmation was made in a meeting between Korean Deputy Minister for Political Affairs Yoon Soon-Gu with Prak Sokhonn, Cambodian Senior Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.
The building was halted due to the global financial crisis in 2008.
Kim Tae Yeon, President of the Korean Company Yon Woo (Cambodia) Co., Ltd., said that the company is committed to completing the construction of the "Golden Tower 42" by 2019, with an additional investment of $140 million on top of the $100 million.
