Phnom Penh (FN), March 1 - Ministry of Economy and Finance collected approximately $5 billion of revenue in 2017, according to the ministry's press release on Wednesday during the Annual Meeting on Monitoring and Evaluation of the 2017 Budget Implementation, held at the ministry.

The income performance of the Ministry of Economy and Finance has successfully achieved, with approximately $5 billion dollars, equivalent to 106.1% of the budget law, including 8.4% surplus of fiscal revenue, 8.1% surplus of non-fiscal revenues, and capital income reached 99.7% of the budget law", according to the press release.  

It added that most expenditures on budget entities are better than in 2016, with the implementation of closer credit legislation, except in the case of additional government-mandated credit expansion, especially on state intervention in promoting rice market and production.
