Phnom Penh (FN), Feb. 27 - Ministry of Interior warned the dissolved Cambodia National Rescue Party (CNRP) for still using the party’s logo and name.

The warning was made after CNRP used its logo a recent statement dated on Feb. 27, 2018.

The Supreme Court announced on November 16, 2017 the dissolution of CNRP and the National Assembly decided to eliminate memberships of former lawmakers from CNRP the following day.

As the party dissolved, 118 politicians from the CNRP were banned from political activities for five years including the party’s former presidents Kem Sokha and Sam Rainsy.

On January 30, Leng Peng Long, Spokesperson of the National Assembly, requested Ministry of Interior to take action against former CNRP lawmaker Eang Chhay Eang who illegally used the Logo of the National Assembly on his letter.
