Phnom Penh (FN), Feb. 20 – The Senate decided to hold a plenary session on Wednesday in order to enact the Draft Amendments on Constitution; Draft Criminal Code Amendment related to Lèse-majesté; Draft Amendment on the Organization and Functioning of Constitutional Council; Draft Law on the Approval of the Agreement on the Promotion of Trade Facilitation and Cambodia-Vietnam-Laos Development Triangle.

The decision was made on Tuesday morning following the permanent committee’s meeting presided over by Senate President Say Chhum, according to the press release dated today.

These four draft laws have been submitted by the Royal Government of Cambodia in response to the needs of Cambodia's current situation and fill the gaps of the past challenges.

The National Assembly enacted these four drafts on Feb. 14, 2018.
