Phnom Penh-Sihanoukville (FN), Feb. 16 – Police has arrested 36 cyber criminals of online kidnapping both in Phnom Penh and Sihanoukville on Friday, according to General Sao Sokha, Commander of Royal Gendarmerie of Cambodia.

Among those, 25 Thai, 4 Taiwanese, and 4 Khmer were arrested in Phnom Penh, the other two Taiwanese and one Thai in Sihanoukville.

Police confiscated a lot of evidences such as money, passports, sim cards, electronic devices and other equipment for operation.

Police is hunting a Taiwanese couple, online kidnapping ringleader that Thailand’s Court issued the arrest order.

Over time, there were online Chinese cybercriminals; this is the first time that the Thai were arrested, according to the General.
