Phnom Penh (FN), Feb. 9 - Prime Minister Hun Sen hoped that New York Times agent, who visited Cambodia, would publish good news about Cambodia when returning to the US.

PM Hun Sen said that if the New York Times wrote fake articles that were different from the current situations in Cambodia, he would not grant Fake News Award like the US President Donald Trump.

The speech was made at the groundbreaking ceremony of the construction of a new Mekong River Bridge connecting Kampong Cham Province to Tbong Khmum Province on Friday.

The award-winning journalists came from the New York Times, CNN, and ABC News, according to Russian Today's news published on January 18, 2017.

According to the Republican Party's blog, featured on Wednesday, the New York Times economic journalist Paul Krugman won the the place in Fake News Awards. He criticized that during the presidential election in 2016, the US economy would not be able to recover if Donald Trump became the president.

The second Fake News Awards went to Brian Ross from the ABC News for reporting the tragedy between Trump and Russia and the third place went to Manu Raju from the CNN for reporting that Donald Trump Jr. received many bad news of Hillary Clinton.
