Phnom Penh (FN), Feb. 5 – President of National Assembly of Cambodia Heng Samrin received a courtesy call from new Vietnamese ambassador to Cambodia Vu Quang Minh on Monday at the National Assembly in Phnom Penh, which he believed will enhance and promote the bilateral relation and cooperation between both countries.
Vietnamese Ambassador told Heng Samrin that he is indeed privileged to fulfil his diplomatic mission in Cambodia and to boost comprehensive cooperation of both countries, such as participating in the launching ceremony to rehabilitate Phnom Dar Temple in Takeo province and the signing agreement ceremony between Cambodian Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry, and Fisheries and Vietnamese Cashew Company.
Heng Samrin asked the Vietnamese ambassador to cooperate with institutions, ministries, departments in provinces and cities, especially the bordered provinces between both countries to jointly develop and build the prosperity for the two as well as protect security, peace, stability, and harmony of people.
Heng Samrin added that over the past 50 years, the friendly relation and cooperation between Cambodia-Vietnam has steadily enhanced in all sectors and levels in the spirit of cordial friendship under the slogan “Good Neighbour, Friendship, Traditional Solidarity, and Long-term Cordial Cooperation”.
