Phnom Penh (FN), Jan. 30 – Soeng Panhavuth, Head of the Trial Council of the Supreme Court, on Tuesday, decided to deny release on bail for an Australian man, Jame Ricketson regarding espionage.

The court stated that the case is still under the investigation.

Jame Ricketson, 68 years old Australian man was detained on June 9, 2017, charged of the crime “collect information which jeopardizes national security and the action of tracking and collecting to send information which jeopardizes the national security” under Article 446 of Criminal Law.

James Ricketson was arrested by the immigration police on June 7, 2017, for allegedly flying a drone at an election rally of the opposition party on June 2, 2017
