(Phnom Penh): Cambodian Prime Minister Hun urged Cambodia and Viet Nam to develop joint tourism packages targeting international visitors from third-country markets under a “Two Countries, One Destination” strategy.
Speaking at the Cambodia-Viet Nam Business Forum 2026 in Phnom Penh, the premier highlighted untapped tourism potential, noting that Cambodia welcomed over one million Vietnamese tourists in 2025, while Cambodian visits to Viet Nam rose approximately 45 per cent from 2024.
Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet encouraged airlines, tour operators and hotels to jointly promote cultural heritage, ecotourism, beaches, city breaks and health tourism across both countries.
On the occasion, the Cambodian prime minister also underlined that stronger road, waterway and air connectivity, alongside joint tourism promotion, would attract more international visitors, create jobs and boost economic growth.
