(Pursat): The land dispute involving Sem Sokkea at Mount 1500 in Veal Veng district, Pursat province, has been resolved following discussions with provincial authorities.

Sem Sokkea, who had repeatedly protested over the land dispute, worked with Pursat Provincial Governor Khoy Rida to reach a settlement after Prime Minister Hun Manet called for a resolution during the inauguration of National Road No. 10 on 1 October 2026.

The prime minister thanked Sem Sokkea, Governor Khoy Rida, and the working team led by Keo Rottanak for their cooperation in resolving the dispute under the government's Win-Win policy.

Samdech Thipadei also reaffirmed the government's commitment to assisting landless citizens through social land concessions and housing support.

Meanwhile, the Antung Ang area of Mount 1500 will remain state public land, with plans for reforestation and development into a natural tourism destination for the public and visitors.
