(Phnom Penh): Cambodian Foreign Minister Prak Sokhonn, also Chairman of the National Organising Committee for the 20th Francophonie Summit, chaired an internal meeting on Monday morning (Oct. 5) to review preparations for the upcoming summit and its side events.

The meeting focused on assessing the progress of preparations and identifying remaining tasks ahead of the 20th Francophonie Summit, which will be held in Phnom Penh next month.

Minister Prak Sokhonn also provided additional recommendations to relevant teams to ensure that all preparations are carried out smoothly, effectively and in accordance with the required standards for the high-level international event.

The summit is expected to bring together leaders and senior representatives from members and observers of the International Organisation of La Francophonie (OIF), further highlighting Cambodia’s role in promoting cooperation among French-speaking countries.
