Phnom Penh (FN), Jan. 26 – Ilhan Kemal Tug, Ambassador of Turkey to Cambodia, who has completed his diplomatic mission in Cambodia, said that the diplomatic tie and cooperation between Cambodia and Turkey had remarkably improved during his four years mission in Cambodia.
The statement of ambassador was made when he received a farewell call to Heng Samrin, President of National Assembly of Cambodia, on Friday.
Ambassador stated that for these four years, both countries exchanged the visits with each other, especially the visit of Cambodian Minister of Foreign Minister and International Cooperation to Turkey recently.
Meanwhile, the diplomatic tie and cooperation between both governments also improved and he want to see more improvement of the cooperation.
Ambassador thanked the government, national assembly, senate and people of Cambodia for holding a good cooperation and supported his diplomatic mission to accomplish successfully.
“I wait to warmly welcome the visit of Prime Minister Hun Sen to Turkey. The visit will boost the cooperation and diplomatic ties between Cambodia and Turkey”, stated the ambassador.
In response, Heng Samrin said that on behalf of National Assembly and himself, he appreciated and highly commended the effort of the ambassador that help promote economic, trade, culture and foreign policy.
“National Assembly of Cambodia will support all sectors of cooperation especially in trade and tourism for the mutual benefits of both countries”, stated the President of the National Assembly.
Heng samrin continued that he will boost the cooperation between National Assembly of both countries. Previously, although there has no official visit between National Assembly of Cambodia and Turkey but both counties joined the corporation in the framework of Asian Parliamentary Assembly (APA).
