(Phnom Penh): Iranian Ambassador to Cambodia Akbar Ghasemi Ali Abadi pledged to further strengthen bilateral cooperation between Iran and Cambodia during his diplomatic mission in the Kingdom.

On Thursday morning (Sep. 10), Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet received the Iranian ambassador for a courtesy call and discussions at the Peace Palace in Phnom Penh.

During the meeting, Ambassador Akbar Ghasemi Ali Abadi spoke highly of the longstanding relations between the two countries and expressed his commitment to exploring new opportunities to expand cooperation across various sectors.

Samdech Thipadei congratulated the ambassador on his appointment and expressed confidence that his tenure would contribute to further advancing Cambodia-Iran relations.

He welcomed the ambassador's commitment and encouraged him to continue discussions with Cambodian foreign ministry to identify new opportunities for bilateral cooperation.
