(Phnom Penh): Cambodia registered 37 investment projects worth approximately USD 233 million in August 2026, with the projects expected to create around 23,000 jobs, according to the Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC).
Of the total, the CDC registered 27 projects with investment capital of approximately USD 198 million, expected to generate around 17,000 jobs.
Meanwhile, the Capital-Provincial Investment Sub-Committees (CPISC) registered another 10 projects worth approximately USD 35 million, which are expected to create around 6,000 jobs.
During the first eight months of 2026, Cambodia continued to attract investment across key sectors, with infrastructure and tourism recording increases in investment capital, while the industrial sector remained the leading destination for foreign direct investment.
The latest approvals reflect continued investment activity in Cambodia as the Royal Government works to improve the business environment, attract new capital, and support job creation and economic growth.
