Phnom Penh (FN), Jan. 25 – Kim Santepheap, Spokesman of Ministry of Justice (MoJ), on Thursday, warned that any former leader of Cambodian National Rescue Party (CNRP) who proposed the activity violating the law and court’s decision will be charged as criminal fugitive.

“You will become criminal fugitive for your illegitimate activities contradicting to the court’s decision!,” said Kim.

The warning was made when former leaders of CNRP have begun to conduct the political activities by initiating the Cambodia National Rescue Movement (CNRM) that will officially appear on January 28, 2018.

Former leaders of CNRP were sentenced by the court not to join or conduct any political activities for five years, for their party was charged with conspiracy with foreigner to topple the government.

Article 523 of the Criminal Law stipulates that any actions not conform to the decision of the court will result in one to six months imprisonment and $25 to $250 compensation.

According to the Article 42-New of Law on Political Party, the continuity to lead the dissolved political party will be sentenced from a month to a year in prison.
