(Beijing): Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet and a high-level delegation arrived at Beijing Capital International Airport on Wednesday afternoon (Jul. 14), beginning a three-day working visit to China from July 15 to 17 at the invitation of the Chinese government.
He was welcomed by China's Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs Hua Chunying, alongside Cambodian officials based in China.
According to Cambodia's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Prime Minister Hun Manet will attend the opening ceremony of the 2026 World Artificial Intelligence Conference (WAIC) in Shanghai on July 17, where he will deliver remarks under the theme "Partnership in Artificial Intelligence for a Brighter Futureā and meet representatives of the Chinese business communities.
During his stay in China, Samdech Thipadei will call on Chinese President Xi Jinping and hold a bilateral meeting with Li Qiang, Premier of the State Council of China.
The working visit underscores the shared commitment of Cambodia and China to further deepening their enduring friendship and advancing mutually beneficial cooperation. The visit will inject a fresh momentum into the implementation of the comprehensive strategic partnership of cooperation, advance the diamond cooperation framework and promote the building of an all-weather Cambodia-China Community with a shared future in the new era.
This working visit marks Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet's third visit to China as Cambodia's prime minister. He made his first official visit in September 2023 and returned in November 2024 to attend the Greater Mekong Subregion (GMS), ACMECS, and CLMV summits in Kunming, Yunnan Province.
