(Phnom Penh): Cambodian Foreign Minister Prak Sokhonn and Ueno Atsushi, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Cambodia, signed the Exchange of Notes and accompanying documents on the extension of the Government of Japan's Grant Aid, amounting to JPY 1,189,000,000 (approximately USD 8,000,000), for the implementation of the Project for the Establishment of the Teacher Education College in Kampong Cham Province, according to a press release seen by Fresh News on Wednesday (May 20).
Under this grant assistance, the Teacher Education College in Kampong Cham Province will be equipped with the necessary facilities and educational resources, which will contribute to strengthening the teacher education system and enhancing the quality of basic education.
The grant aid reflects Japan's steadfast commitment to promoting Cambodia's socio-economic and human capital development, as well as to deepening the Cambodia-Japan Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.
