Phnom Penh (FN), Jan. 21- The Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC) issued a certificate of registration for four new companies and factories in Cambodia with a capital of over $30 million, creating more than 3,000 jobs, according to CDC’s recent press release on Facebook.

The four factories are garments and textile factories, power plants and electrical equipment factories, and cigarette factories.

SISOPHON HONG SENG SPORTSWEAR CO., LTD., A project of building a textile factory, located in Sangkat Teuk Thla, Banteay Meanchey Province, has an investment of approximately $10 million and will create 2,035 jobs.

THUPPER & METAL ACCESSORY (CAMBODIA) CO., LTD:
A project of establishing a garment and accessories factory, located in Prey Nob district, Sihanoukville Province, has an investment of approximately $13.7 million and will create 669 jobs.

EMAX ELECTRIC CO., LTD: A project of building electrical equipment factories, located in Khan Dangkor, Phnom Penh, has an investment of approximately $3.57 million and will create 205 jobs.

XIANG GANG TOBACCO (CAMBODIA) CO., LTD: A project to set up a cigarette manufacturing company, located in Kandal Steung district, Kandal province, has an investment of approximately $2.29 million and will create 312 jobs.

Due to a stable political situation and peace in Cambodia, more domestic and foreign investors are increasingly investing in Cambodia, opening new factories that create jobs for more Cambodians.

For 2018, nine new companies and factories were licensed by CDC, with a total investment of about $ 70 million, generating about 7,000 new jobs.
