(Phnom Penh): Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet issued a sub-decree establishing the Kampong Chhnang Multipurpose Port and Logistics Centre in Kampong Leaeng District.

The project will span more than 30 hectares in Svay Rompear Commune, Kampong Leaeng District, in Kampong Chhnang Province.

According to the sub-decree, the multipurpose port and logistics center is designed to accommodate international navigation vessels, facilitating ship entry and departure, cargo handling, and the loading and unloading of goods, including containers and bulk cargo.

The development is expected to enhance Cambodia’s logistics capacity and support the country’s growing trade and transportation needs.
