(Phnom Penh): Cambodia exported bicycles worth USD 63.57 million in January 2026, a sharp 68.51% increase compared to USD 37.72 million in January 2025, according to a report from the Ministry of Commerce.
The United States, Germany, Belgium, the United Kingdom, and the Netherlands remain Cambodia’s primary export markets for bicycles. Meanwhile, Cambodia imports bicycles from Japan, China, Viet Nam, Thailand, and the United States.
The ministry also highlighted that the European Union has authorized Cambodia to use bicycle components and raw materials sourced from Viet Nam for production and export to the EU market. This approval has strengthened Cambodia’s competitiveness by simplifying access to nearby supply chains and reducing sourcing barriers.
Cambodia currently has five bicycle assembly factories located in the Bavet Special Economic Zones (SEZs) in Svay Rieng province: (1) A AND J CO., LTD., (2) SPEEDTECH INDUSTRIAL CO., LTD., (3) SMART TECH CO., LTD., (4) XDS BICYCLE CO., LTD., and (5) EVERGRAND BICYCLE CO., LTD.
In 2025, Cambodia exported bicycles worth USD 609.33 million, reflecting a 42.73% increase from USD 426.91 million in 2024.
