Phnom Penh (FN), Jan. 8 – Vietnam has blocked 4 passing routes in Andoung Meas district, Ratanakiri province since December 2017.

The decision was made when Cambodia objected to open a new official entry at the request of Vietnamese side, according to the report of General Commissariat of National Police dated January 8, 2017.

The report stressed that “the security circumstances at the border is peaceful, but the remarkable notice is the blocks of four passing routes in border points Number 17, 18, 19 and 19/5 in Ratanakiri province”.

Both sides lost access to entry and communications with one another, according to Ratanakiri authority.
