Interior Ministry: Nearly 500,000 Displaced People Have Returned Home, Over 150,000 Remain Displaced as of January 14

(Phnom Penh): Cambodian Ministry of Interior released an update on Wednesday (Jan. 14) regarding the situation following the ceasefire agreement.

According to the press release, which covers the period from 6:00 a.m. on January 13 to 6:00 a.m. on January 14, 2026, an additional 5,101 displaced persons have returned to their homes. This brings the total number of returnees to approximately 500,000 out of the more than 640,000 people who were originally displaced.
