COLOMBO, Jan. 5 (Xinhua) -- Sri Lankan President Maithripala Sirisena honored on Friday a Sri Lankan child who set a Guinness World Record as the world's youngest author, a statement from the President's Office said on Friday.
The president received the boy Thanuwana Serasinghe, aged only four years and 356 days, in his office on Friday. The child arrived at the President's Office along with his parents and offered a copy of his book titled Junk Food to the president.
The president's office said the child had only taken three days to write the book. The president gave his blessings to the child and wished him success in his education.
