(Phnom Penh): The Ministry of National Defence reported continued armed aggression by Thai military forces along the Cambodia–Thailand border, targeting Cambodian sovereign territory in the 5th Military Region at the area of Boeung Trakoun, Kouk Romiet commune, Thmar Pouk district, Banteay Meanchey province, on Monday (Dec. 22).

- At 5:02 a.m., the Thai military deployed F-16 fighter jets and dropped 4 bombs in the area of Boeung Trakoun, Kouk Romiet commune, Thmar Pouk district, Banteay Meanchey province.

- At 5:49 a.m., Thai forces further intensified bombardment in the same area.

Cambodian forces continue to monitor the situation closely and stand strong, brave, and steadfast in their fight against the aggressors, remaining vigilant in fulfilling their roles to protect Cambodia's territorial integrity.
