Phnom Penh (FN), Dec. 29 - The Ministry of Environment on Friday has stated that from the first day of 2018, the relevant authorities will begin to control the import, manufacture, and distribution of plastic bags as stipulated in the sub-decree on management of plastic bags released on December 28, 2017.

A thin plastic bags that are allowed to import, distribute, and consume should have a thickness of 0.03 mm with a bottom width of 25 cm or 10 inches.

The local import and manufacture of thin plastic bags that meet the conditions are approved by the Ministry of Environment, unless the import is less than 100 kilograms.
