(Phnom Penh): Cambodian Senate President Hun Sen announced that Cambodia’s response red line has been firmly set, directing commanders at all levels to clearly brief their subordinate officers and soldiers.

Samdech Techo wrote on his social media on Monday (Dec. 8).

“All frontline forces must remain patient, as the aggressors have been firing all types of weapons at us since yesterday, last night, and again this morning, with the intention of provoking us into retaliating in order to undermine the ceasefire and the Cambodia–Thailand Peace Statement.

The red line for responding has already been clearly defined, and all commanding officers at every level must thoroughly instruct and ensure full understanding.

All relevant authorities at every level are urged to make every effort to assist the civilians who are fleeing from dangerous areas to safer locations.

I have cancelled all other work commitments in order to join the prime minister in directing and overseeing the armed forces in resisting the aggression.

I kindly ask for understanding from national and international guests who are unable to meet with me during this time.

To the athletes participating in the 33rd SEA Games in Thailand, please continue your competitions as usual.”
