(Phnom Penh): Cambodian Senate President Hun Sen thanked Om Birla, Speaker of the Lok Sabha of the Republic of India, for his warm message of congratulations on the 72nd Anniversary of the Independence Day of the Kingdom of Cambodia.

"Cambodia and India are bound by deep-rooted connection of culture, customs, religions, and civilization, a solid foundation of continued strength and growth of our bilateral relations, which greatly benefits our two nations," according to the letter seen by Fresh News on Friday (Dec. 5).

"I stand ready to enhance our existing excellent ties, be it inter-parliamentary or bilateral, based on the spirit of trust, solidarity, mutual understanding, and mutually beneficial cooperation, thereby serving the best interests of our respective peoples."
