(Phnom Penh): On 4 December 2025, during the Meeting of States Parties to the Ottawa Convention, Cambodia’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations office in Geneva, Ambassador Dara In, delivered an intervention under Agenda Item 9 (d): preventing and suppressing prohibited activities and facilitating compliance.

In his intervention, Ambassador Dara In dismissed Thailand’s repeated allegations of so-called newly emplaced mines. Thailand’s so-called “evidence” is entirely unilateral, produced without permitting Cambodia or neutral experts access to the sites.
