Austria (FN), Dec. 21 - Senior Minister Serei Kosal, First Vice President of Cambodian Mine Action and Victim Assistance Authority (CMAA), said that 163 member expressed strong interest in Cambodia’s achievement of the removal of chemical weapons and unexploded ordinance, as well as the 2025 strategic plan of mine clearance of the Royal Government of Cambodia.
"In the summit, I presented the achievements of Cambodia for 25 years after being fully a member of the Ottawa Convention. I also illustrated the findings of chemical weapons in Svay Rieng province to 163 countries”, stated the vice president.
Meanwhile, on the sidelines of the summit, he also had bilateral meetings with countries such as the United States, Canada, Japan, China, Germany, the Czech Republic and many other countries.
Senior Minister led a delegation of National Authority for Chemical Weapons, CMAA and the National Center for Peacekeeping Forces to attend the 16th Summit of the Ottawa Convention from Dec. 19 to Dec. 21, 2017.
