Phnom Penh (FN), Dec. 20 - Japan has granted a total of $312 million to Cambodia, according to Senior Minister Prak Sokhonn, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MoFA).

This announcement was made during his speech at the signing ceremony on Wednesday at MoFA.

"I would like to remind that Japan is one of the largest donors for the socio-economic development and infrastructure in Cambodia, helping to improve social services such as health and education and human resource development," said Prak Sokhonn.

"In 2017, we signed a documents of Japanese Official Development Assistance, providing a total of $312 million including human resources development scholarship, equivalent to $5.77 million”, added the senior minister.

This grant will further promote human resource and capacity building of the Kingdom of Cambodia to successfully implement socioeconomic development policy, and raise people’s living standard.
