Cambodian Foreign Ministry Responds to Thailand's Assertion that Prey Chan villagers of Cambodia Encroached on Thai Territory to Stage a Protest

(Phnom Penh): On 23 September 2025, the spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand asserted, in a press conference, that Prey Chan villagers of Cambodia had encroached upon Thai territory to stage a protest, which prompted Thailand to enforce its laws on them. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Kingdom of Cambodia is compelled to respond to this misleading statement.
