Phnom Penh (FN), Dec. 11 - The United States signed a U.S Ambassador Fund for Cambodian Victims’ clothes that left behind since Khmer Rouge regime.   

The signing ceremony was held at the Tuol Sleng Museum between Chuch Phoeun, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Culture and Fine Arts and William Heidt, the U.S Ambassador to Cambodia.

The project for the preservation is worth $55,000, focusing on the early stages of protecting the damage of the victim's clothing. It addressed that 3,000 to 5,000 ancient objects have not been properly preserved by professional experts.

"This project is a project that has helped the embassy's mission to preserve the leaving things since the Khmer Rouge regime. These materials are still bloody and stained on the ground, which is a historical fact that we cannot forget,” said the Ambassador.

Chuch Phoeun said that the U.S supports on the conservation project at the Tuol Sleng Museum is extremely important for the ministry as well as for the whole population of Cambodia.
