(Phnom Penh): Pen Bona, Delegate Minister and Head of the Royal Government Spokesperson Unit, said that Cambodia’s strong national solidarity has rendered Thailand’s psychological warfare and various disinformation tactics ineffective, causing them to quickly dissipate.

Pen Bona spoke on Sunday (Aug. 24) during a press conference.

Under the high attention of the top leaders, namely Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet and Senate President Hun Sen, the implementation of the ceasefire agreement has been progressing with continuously positive results through the meetings of the GBC and RBC.

Cambodia remains firmly committed to upholding the ceasefire agreement to reach a peaceful solution to the border issue between Cambodia and Thailand, preserving peace for the nations and peoples of both sides. The ceasefire is being carried out under international observation, particularly by the United States, China, and Malaysia, as well as foreign diplomatic and military attachés.

The spokesperson highlighted that the spirit of national solidarity remains strong, as Cambodians inside and outside the country continue to raise the national flag and voice their patriotic support for defending national sovereignty and territorial integrity. He further praised the heroism of Cambodia’s armed forces of all branches, who steadfastly stand guard in defense of the nation’s territorial integrity.

"The great national solidarity and firm unity, born from the true patriotic spirit of Cambodians, have rendered ineffective and swiftly neutralized the psychological warfare and false information tactics aimed at undermining the morale of the Cambodian people,” Pen Bona underscored.

The Royal Government, led by the Cambodian People’s Party, continues to guarantee the protection of peace, political and social stability, macroeconomic stability, as well as sovereignty and territorial integrity, earning the trust and confidence of the Cambodian people in all circumstances.
