Phnom Penh (FN), Dec. 8 - The Ambassador-at-large for Human rights of the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs, Mr. Francois Croquette, visited Cambodia from 4 to 8 Dec. 2017.

Ambassador Croquette highlighted that France urged the Cambodian authorities to once again become part of a democratic process and to allow the opposition, media and civil society to function without hindrance.

He welcomed th announcement that the Cambodian Center for Human Rights wouldn’t be closed. He wished that other positive steps be taken, particularly concerning civil society.
