(Pailin): On Tuesday afternoon (Jul. 29), Lieutenant General Ek Sam On, Deputy Commander of the Royal Cambodian Army and Commander of Cambodia’s Military Region 5, held talks with the Commander of Thailand’s Chanthaburi-Trat Border Defence Force at Sros Bridge, a border checkpoint in Pailin Province.

The meeting followed the midnight ceasefire agreement, which was reached after an agreement between Cambodian prime minister and Thailand’s acting prime minister during talks in Malaysia. The purpose of the meeting was also to ease border tensions between the two countries.
