Phnom Penh (FN), Dec. 4 - The representatives from five Cambodian associations sent two separate letters to Australian Senate President Scott Ryan and Speaker of the Australian House of Representatives Tony Smith to clarify the dissolution of Cambodia National Rescue Party (CNRP) on November 16 2017, by the Supreme Court was conducted with the laws of the Kingdom of Cambodia.
“We are honored to inform, Your Excellency, that we have been closely monitoring the current political situation in Cambodia. We took note of the dissolution of the CNRP by the Supreme Court of the Kingdom of Cambodia and the Court ruling that banned 118 former leaders of this party from any political activity for the next five years,” stated in the letter dated December 1, 2017.
