Phnom Penh (FN), Nov. 21 – Secretary General of National Assembly (NA) Leng Peng Long said on Tuesday that the NA has decided to remove the names of 55 Cambodia National Rescue Party lawmakers and assistants as well as more than 100 drivers from the list, and they will be terminated and no longer paid from November 2017.
The decision was made after the Supreme Court announced the verdict on November 16, on CNRP dissolution, and 118 leaders and politicians from the CNRP were also banned from political activities for five years.
He added that those former CNRP lawmakers’ materials such as luxury cars and office equipment are also confiscated.
After the dissolution, CNRP logo, banners and slogans across the country have been removed, many of which have been removed by the CNRP's headquarters itself.
