Phnom Penh (FN), Nov. 15 – After spending five days on ASEAN and APEC meetings in Vietnam and the Philippines, Prime Minister Hun Sen and his delegates returned to Cambodia with innovative ideas that will benefit the people and the country.
On November 10, 2017, Prime Minister Hun Sen requested the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) to accept Cambodia, Laos and Myanmar as members.
Cambodia and Vietnam pledged to complete border demarcation by 2018 in hope of peace, stability, development, trade, and tourism between the two countries.
In Manila, Philippines, the premier and other ASEAN leaders discussed and exchanged views on critical issues to further promote peace, security, and prosperity for the region and the world tt the 30th ASEAN Summit.
The premier also requested U.S President Donald Trump to consider turning the debt that Cambodia owes to the U.S during the 1970s war as a development aid.
