Phnom Penh (FN), Nov. 13 - Prime Minister Hun Sen told U.S President Donald Trump that during the U.S election campaign, a former Cambodia National Rescue Party (CNRP) President Sam Rainsy likened Donald Trump and the premier to dictators and called Trump as a “dictator for money”.
His remark was made at the ASEAN-US Summit in Manila, Philippines on Monday.
The premier added that during the U.S presidential election campaign, he was one of the few who supported Donald Trump to win the election.
"I was the 1% of the voters who believed that His Excellency is going to win. Before the election, I announced twice that you will be the winner, but I was attacked by the head of the opposition party,” said Prime Minister Hun Sen.
Sam Rainsy’s remark was made in late 2016 after PM Hun Sen announced his support for Donald Trump and predicted that Donald Trump would win the U.S presidential election.
