ISTANBUL, Nov. 10 (Xinhua) -- Turkish police on Friday detained 93 more suspected Islamic State (IS) militants in Istanbul and southern province of Adana, local media reported.
All the suspects are foreign nationals, with 82 of them captured during simultaneous operations launched in 14 places in Istanbul, the state-run Anadolu Agency said, noting 11 Syrians were apprehended in operations in Adana.
It said the detainees once fought for the IS in conflict zones and were planning to rejoin soon the militant group in Syria.
Turkey has cracked down harder on IS militants lately and seized many suspects across the country, as the group is being routed in Syria and Iraq.
