Phnom Penh (FN), November 5- The three days of celebrating the Royal Water Festival attracted a total of 4 million visitors, according to the report of the Ministry of Tourism.
The reported said that there were 800,000 visitors visited the provinces, an increase of 23%, of which 730 thousand were international visitors while 70 thousand were local people.
Phnom Penh attracted 3.2 million visitors, while Siem Reap, Sihanoukville, Kampot, Ratanakiri and Mondulkiri also attracted a large number of visitors.
Tourism Minister Thong Khon said that sanitation, and security have been improved significantly.
The minister said that peace, stability, security, public order, better living conditions, especially the system of roads and bridges have contributed a great deal of tourism industry industry in the country.
