HONG KONG, Nov. 1 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake measuring 6.1 on the Richter scale jolted 109km E of Tadine, New Caledonia at 00:09:30 GMT on Wednesday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.

The epicenter, with a depth of 10.0 km, was initially determined to be at 21.7145 degrees south latitude and 168.9255 degrees east longitude.
