Phnom Penh (FN), October 31 – Cambodian government has sent nearly 400 officials to Thailand to campaign for the legitimacy of Cambodian workers there, according to Heng Sour, spokesman for the Ministry of Labor and Vocational Training.
In addition, they will also conduct meetings, and to provide them some needs that would accommodate for both workers and Thai law and procedure.
By October 28, the commission has provided travel documents and worker’s cards to more than 100,000 Cambodian workers in accordance with law of Thailand.
The commission has also offered a service to 1,200 registered workers per day during August and September 2017.
The commission has requested further cooperation with the Thai side to increase the number of appointments to 1,400 people a day from November 1, 2017.
Those workers have expressed thanks to Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen for the helps.
