Phnom Penh (FN), October 26 - Cambodian government is considering to pardon at least 421 prisoners across the country.
Justice Minister Ang Vong Vattana chaired a meeting on Thursday to review the proposal to release prisoners for the upcoming festival.
The detainees under consideration are from 19 provincial prisons and 4 Correctional Centers.
Pardons are normally proceeding during three majors festivals in Cambodia: Khmer New Year, Water Festival and Visakha Bochea (Buddhist Festival).
