Phnom Penh (FN), October 18 – Prime Minister Hun Sen said that a recent leak of new video showing Sam Rainsy calling for armed forces to topple Cambodia’s government in 2011 linked to Kem Sokha's speech while in Lowell, Massachusetts, U.S.A.
"Rainsy's speech was said since June 4, 2011 but it linked to the one in Lowell. They said that Hun Sen regime was coming to an end. We need guidance, support, and armed forces to topple the government”, stated the premier.
After the election in 2013, PM Hun Sen considered CNRP’s unacceptable slogan as a failed attempt in overthrowing and betraying government.
"What is the point of causing the movement that killed people on Veng Sreng Road? Is this an act to overthrow the government and order foreign countries to cause war in Cambodia?”, he added.
The premier also reiterated that these acts are not individual but party and that it needs to be dissolved by the court.
His remark was made while visiting 15,211 workers from 10 factories along National Highway 4 in Phnom Penh's Porsenchey district.
