Phnom Penh (FN), October 16 - National Assembly adopted the amendment to the Law on Parliamentarian Election in a Plenary Session on Monday morning.
Cheam Yeap, CPP lawmaker, said that the proposed laws on the four amendments were not meant to harm any individuals and political parties, but based on the political situation and tendency.
He added that the proposals were based on serious crimes committed by Kem Sokha, president of the Cambodia National Rescue Party (CNRP).
The four proposed law on amendments include: Amendments to the Law on the Election of the Members of Parliament; Amendments to the Law on the Election of the Senate; Amendments to the Law on the Election of Commune Councils; Amendments to the Law on the Election of the Capital, Provincial, Municipal, District, and Khan Councils.
