Phnom Penh (FN), October 13 - Over the first nine months of 2017, Cambodia exported more than 110,000 tons of dry rubber, an increase of nearly 33%, amounted up to $192 million, compared to the same period in 2016, according to the official report of the General Department of Rubber, Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries on Tuesday.

In 2016, only 140,000 tons of rubber were exported, profiting $180 million.

The General Department of Rubber reported that for the past nine months of 2017, Cambodia harvested 115,843 tons of rubber, of which 114,991 tons of rubber were exported with an average price of $1,682 per ton.

By the end of 2016, Cambodian rubber plantations covered 432,096 hectares of land.

Cambodia exports rubber to China, Vietnam, Singapore and Malaysia.
